Light Weight Mirror

Light Weight Mirror

LaserStates manufacture economical light weight mirrors with material Fused Silica, Silicon, Borofloat33, Ultra-Low Expansion Glass and other optical glass, etc. The light weight mirrors are widely used in Optical Telescopes, LiDAR Systems, Scanners, Airborne Optical Systems.

LaserStates’ Light Weight Mirrors

The Telescope mirrors are very large and thick, so they are very heavy. Supporting the massive weight of the mirror requires that the rest of the telescope be sturdily built. The result is that large telescopes can be shockingly heavy. Using Light Weight Mirrors could reduce the weight of whole systems.
LaserStates use NC to machine custom Light Weight Mirrors according to the customers’ design.

Processing Introduction

LaserStates use NC to machine the Light Weight mirrors. To compare with the Casting process method, the advantage of NC method is as follows
- The customers’ 3D Files could be output to the NC
directly to assure the accuracy of the substrate.
- Rapid processing.
- Low cost (Molds are not needed to process)
- Complex shapes could be machined
