Color Glass Filters


Optical filters selectively transmit light of different wavelengths, usually implemented as plane glass in the optical path which are either dyed or have interference coatings.
Colore glass filters are widely used for order sorting, light attenuation, and spectral selection of a broadband source. They are significantly less expensive than multi-layer coated filters which have sharper cut-on and cut-off wavelengths and better rejection.
